Kneehigh Seek New Trustees for their Board

(Kneehigh Seek New Trustees for their Board PDF)

Kneehigh is celebrated as a bold, brilliant and big-hearted theatre company. Based in Cornwall we tour locally, nationally and internationally. In 2009/10 we performed to 190,000 people over 307 performances on 2 continents. In the summer of 2010 we launched The Kneehigh Asylum – our fantastic new nomadic venue, a tent! The launch of the Asylum marks the beginning of a new phase for Kneehigh, we now have a space that we can call home – a place where we can party and make glorious Kneehigh Whoopie!

Kneehigh Theatre Trust Limited is a company limited by guarantee and a registered charity. We are now looking for new Trustees to join our Board.

We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with the following experience:

  • legal expertise, possibly gained on the Western Circuit;
  • the business of operating public events and festivals, or with knowledge of the hospitality industry;
  • knowledge and experience of the wider cultural industries - TV, film or digital media for example;
  • political knowledge relating to policy making with particular reference to the cultural industries, the arts and tourism.

If youare interested in finding out more information about Kneehigh please visit www.kneehigh.co.uk. If you would like more information about the governance of charities and the roles and obligations of Trustees then visit www.charity-commission.gov.uk.
