Honorary Tresurer LUX
LUX is seeking to recruit an Honorary Treasurer to join it's board of trustees, to offer financial expertise and advice.
To act in an advisory role to the Finance Manager and provide the board of trustees with financial expertise
To provide advice and support to the Finance Manager and the board during the annual audit process, including meeting with the company auditors.
To advise the board on the financial implications of strategic plans, and contribute to fundraising strategies and investment plans where appropriate.
To attend four LUX board meetings per year, and occasional extraordinary meetings.
To be a qualilfied or part qualified accountant, preferably with a Public or Charity financial background, or have an understanding of non profit organisations. A knowledge of stock control would also be an advantage.
LUX is an arts agency, which explores ideas around artists' moving image practise through exhibition, distribution, publising, education and research.
LUX is the only organisation of its kind in the UK, it represents the country's only significant collection of artists' film and video. LUX works with a large number of major institutions including museums, galleries, festivals and educational establishments, as well as directly with the public and artists.
LUX receives regular funding from the Arts Council England.
LUX is a registered charity and not-for-profit company limited by guarantee.
