Executive Committee member/Trustee

The society is a registered charity and company limited by guarantee, running residential care and sheltered homes for older people in Heswall, Wirral. 

Whilst our society is an independent local charity, it is also  a part of the Abbeyfield family which is now a significant housing provider  with over 2000 bedspaces in the UK and many more internationally

Trustees are members and directors of the company and, together, constitute the Executive Committee.

The society accommodates 33 residents altogether in its 3 houses - two registered residential care homes and one sheltered house.

The Executive Committee wishes to recruit up to 2 additional Trustees to fill vacancies. The Committee meets approximately 6 weekly and meetings usually last about 2 hours. It would be helpful if candidates had a  background in a  field such as Social Care, Housing, Buliding Maintenance, Employment, Finance or Charities generally but other expertises would also be useful. Current Trustees and employees have qualifications or experience in Accountancy, Law, Education, IT, Business, Engineering and Social Housing.
