Cumbria Action for Sustainability - Trustees
Cumbria Action for Sustainability (CAfS) is seeking new trustees. We are looking for people to help this small but dynamic charity continue to do big things to drive forward sustainable development in the County.
Operating for 10 years as Eden LA21, CAfS was officially formed in 2008 and is set up to promote sustainable development across Cumbria. We
i) educate people about sustainable development,
ii) support local sustainable projects;
iii) initiate sustainable projects and
iv) maintain a network of people working towards sustainability.
CAfS has established itself as a Cumbrian specialist in delivering training and education on green build principles, building codes and low carbon development. Our reputation has been principally gained through our successful annual Cumbria Green Build Festival (now in its 6th year and including 60+ events every year), our involvement in the Sustainable Community Buildings Programme and more recently though the development of our Cumbria Green Build Professional Programme aimed at those involved in the building and construction industry.
We are keen to have an even greater impact in enabling people to take practical actions for long term environmental sustainability and are seeking new trustees who share this vision.
