By using Sage 50 Accounts for Charities you will be able to provide important analysis to trustees and donors throughout the year, not just at year end. Sage 50 Accounts will help you improve the financial reporting of your charity and freeing your time to concentrate on your charitable activities.

Projects:
Sage 50 Accountant Plus allows “projects” or “events” to be created so that you can record income and expenditure to them. This allows you to report easily on the success / failure of projects and activity type within budgets.
Departmental Budgeting:
Sage Line 50 now allows you to set budgets against nominal codes and budgets
Centralisation of Data:
Using Sage Line 50 allows you to store details of all donors, funding bodies in one place and attach files, photos and evidence to those records. You can also attach excel, word and image files to nominal codes to back up assets and expenditure.
Gift Aid and R68 report:
Sage Line 50 now allows you to print a gift aid declaration letter for your donors and record the date that the declaration was signed. The R68 report can then be run at the end of the period which calculates the total Gift Aid that can be claimed.
Diary:
Manage your accounting tasks in the new Sage diary and hold multiple contacts per funder/customer.

Important Changes to Payroll Legislation
From April all voluntary organisations will have to adjust how you manage your payroll due to the introduction of Real Time Information (RTI). The introduction of RTI will mean that information has to be submitted electronically to HMRC every time payroll is run rather than just at year-end. This means that you need to establish new systems to collect the required data.
New Sage 50 Payroll RTI Edition has been designed to ensure the easiest transition to RTI possible. If you already have a valid Sage Cover contract your software is already RTI compliant and there will be no software costs.
Attend CentrePoint Software training on Sage Payroll RTI to get an understanding of RTI legislation and find out how to process RTI using Sage 50 Payroll. Discounts for NCVO members.
For further help and information on RTI, please see www.hmrc.gov.uk/rti/employerfaqs.htm.
