Who is Trustee Bank useful for?

Trustee Bank is a trustee recruitment resource for voluntary organisations.

The resources will be useful to you if:

  • You are an individual looking to join a board
  • You are an organisation looking to fill a vacancy
  • You are a partner organisation, providing a matching or placement service, promoting trusteeship or advising on trustee recruitment

What's on this site?

Three dedicated areas for organisations, individuals and partners, each leading to:

  • Useful guidance and resource to view and download.  These resources include information about trustee roles and responsibilities; how to recruit trustees; and induction and support.
  • A directory of brokerage services.  Each of the services listed in our directory provide a matching or placement service, between individuals interested in trusteeship and vacancies on the boards of voluntary organisations.
  • A Situations Vacant page listing a selection of current trustee vacancies.
  • Information about NCVO's services for trustees and boards, including events, publications and training.

What Trustee Bank isn't!

NCVO do not provide a direct matching service: we don't carry a list of individuals who want to be a trustee.

NCVO do not register individuals who are looking for vacancies.

To register your vacancy, or your interest in joining a board, you should contact one of the featured brokerage services direct.

We can list your vacancy on our Situations Vacant page for a limited period of time (subject to availability), but we don't handle responses.

Ideas on using Trustee Bank

  • If you are looking to join a board, read about what trusteeship involves.  You can then look at some of the vacancies advertised and either contact one of them or register with one of the brokerage services.
  • If you have a vacancy on your board, have a look at our 'Before you recruit-' checklist and then contact one of the Brokerage Services.
  • Use the Directory of Brokerage Services to identify potential new people to join your board. Using a brokerage service can help you widen your pool of potential trustees and help recruit a more diverse board.
  • If you already provide a matching service, read our special page for partners and find out how to join the network.
