The Foxton Centre in Preston has been working with rough sleepers, street sex workers, young people, people with alcohol abuse issues and other people in the community who need their support for over 40 years. The Centre employs 18 staff and engages dozens of volunteers in providing its services.
Director Tim Keightley told us
"We joined partly because of the impressive range of resources available to members, but also because belonging and contributing to networks is the lifeblood for any organisation looking to develop to its full potential."
The many new members we have welcomed recently reflect the incredible diversity of our sector; from the Manchester Carers Forum, to the Somali Women’s Group, and the British Dragonfly Society.
As the community continues to grow, members will be able to draw on a richer pool of practical knowledge and skills to help them prosper. It also means we are speaking with a stronger collective voice which at a time of substantial changes in public policy is more important than ever.
