Great turn out for Parliamentary Reception

16th December 2009
Parliamentary Reception

More than 150 influential people, including MPs, sector leaders and the media, turned out for the All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG) on the Community and Voluntary sector’s annual Christmas Reception in the House of Commons yesterday.

Minister for the Third Sector, Angela Smith, was among those who attended along with NCVO chair Sir Graham Melmoth and APPG chair Tom Levitt MP.

The Minister paid tribute to the work of the Community and Voluntary sector APPG and its chair Mr Levitt who will be stepping down at the next general election after almost 10 years service.

Guests were treated to seasonal refreshments and a performance from one of our members, English Folk and Dance and Song Society’s Cecil Sharp House Community Choir.
