The results of the 2012 TPP Not for Profit Charity Marketing & Communications Salary Survey are out now!
Based on the data from over 500 roles, the survey categorically maps out salaries for marketing and communications professionals in the third sector.
Key findings include:
- Third sector employees for the most part receive only slightly less than their equivalents in the private and public sectors. However, the higher up the pay scale you go, the greater the discrepancy becomes.
- The most lucrative specialism for charity communications and marketing professionals is brand management, followed by campaigns, PR and digital marketing.
- Employees of larger not for profit organisations get paid 4% more than average for the third sector. Staff at small organisations receive -1% less on average.
- Contract and temporary roles are the most lucrative types of communications role, while part time roles are paid -5% less than average.
- The majority of survey respondents (62%) feel that salaries have remained static over the past year. Those who felt that salaries had increased and those who felt they had decreased are evenly spread.
