Lack of information on Trusts in other EU countries

Has anyone got any suggestions as to how and where to find grantmaking Trusts in other EU countries that could, potentially, give grants to organisations in the UK? I can't find any overseas equivalents of Funderfinder, Grantfinder, etc..

Do NCVO know the answer to this one? ;)

You might be hard pressed. Not many countries are likely to offer grants to the UK simply because of our financial position. The main source was EU Social Risk funding and other EU initiative grants which you can find through the EU Grants site: http://www.eugrants.org/

It might be worth dropping them a line and asking that question, they'd be likely to know the answer.

You could also try asking EU member development departments such as DANIDA, which is the Danish equivalent of DFID (Department for International Development), but again they are more likely to be able to tell you of aid they give to developing countries rather than within the EU/UK - worth a shot though, they may be able to signpost.

Other than that, the only other source of external EU funding to the UK I can think of might be corporate giving schemes and regional development initiatives by EU companies operating in local areas. Bit of a long shot. What about EuroMillions, the EU lottery?

Good luck, I'm intrigued and would love to know the answer if you find one.
