Collaborative learning network2011 is set to be a challenging year for voluntary sector organisations but could be the ideal time to look at the potential of collaborative working.  There will be more opportunities for the voluntary sector to get involved in public sector contracting and working together will be essential if smaller organisations are not to miss out.

The Network provides a forum for everyone wishing to explore the possibilities offered by collaboration and gives the opportunity to meet experts in the field.

Both presentations looked at the "systems thinking" model and how this has been applied in practical situations. The speakers were Stephen Johnson, Chief Executive of Advice UK, and Jon Walker, Consultant & Social Activist & SCiO member (Study of Complexity in Organisations).

With local authority spending cuts looming, the contracting out of services is set to increase. This timely topic was discussed at the third in our series of Collaborative Learning Network events.
