Join NCVO for our first-ever policy webinar on redtape

NCVO Policy Team
12th June 2012

On Monday morning, NCVO will be hosting its first ever policy webinar for members, on the topic of reducing red-tape.

We are doing this because we are preparing our response to the Government’s ‘Red Tape Challenge’ and want to hear from you to inform our position.

This follows on from the ‘Unshackling Good Neighbours – One Year On’ report, which details what the voluntary and community sector (VCS) has told Government so far – and how Government has responded.

In particular, we want to hear about any issues to do with regulation that are giving you a headache. Here are a few starter questions to give you an idea of what we’ll be discussing:

  • Have you had to spend time duplicating information to fulfil reporting requirements?
  • Has your organisation faced barriers when engaging with Government commissioning and procurement procedures?
  • Did your volunteers tell you of any initial obstacles when signing up?
  • What would the impact of new Government regulation be on the social investment market – what would help and what would hinder?

So if you are fed up with reporting to different Government bodies, or unsure what’s legal in social investment - join the policy team for a live discussion on red-tape on Monday 18th June. Our live webinar will run from 10am-12pm.

If you're already a member of our Policy Discussion Yammer group (formerly the Open Policy Review group) simply log-on.

If not, all you have to do join the debate and shape NCVO's policy response is email me for an invite.

We look forward to chatting with you!
