As an avid reader, a report on ‘the future of books’ was bound to catch my eye. As I’m sure you can guess, it talks about the emergence of ebooks and their implications for the older relative: the hardcopy book.

A number of high profile Conservatives have, publically and privately, lamented the decision to make the Big Society the centrepiece of their election campaign. Many complained it did not 'connect' on the doorstep, that is was too vague to have any real meaning, and was too easy for their opponents to pour scorn on.

NCVO Foresight's eyes are always peeled, scanning the horizon for events that may impact the sector for good or ill (or, as is often the case, events that will benefit some parts of the sector, or those that are prepared for them, and disadvantage other parts of the sector, or those that aren't prepared).
