Members' photography competition 2010
Congratulations to Victim Support - winners of our annual photo competition, celebrating and promoting the amazing work that you, our member organisations, are doing up and down the country.
Victim Support, a charity for victims and witnesses of crime, submitted this photo (right) of a young girl giving evidence in court to demonstrate a typical court scene, because photography is not allowed during real court proceedings.
This year's theme was Building a Better Society and we were delighted by the response and the quality of entries we received.
Martyn Lewis, NCVO chair and broadcaster, announced the winner at a drinks reception at our Annual Conference (March 1) and Victim Support will now receive a cheque for £100 to help with their work to support people affected by crime.
The competition judges were Martyn Lewis and Guardian photographer Eamonn McCabe. The competition was sponsored by print company c3imaging. All shortlisted photos are listed below.
