Free Energy Saving Light Bulbs

Over 50 voluntary organisations distributed over 30,000 packs of energy saving light bulbs to their beneficiaries, and received payments of up to £150 each in the first programme in 2007/08 that NCVO worked on with Grass Roots. Now a new programme has been launched in partnership with Grass Roots who are distributing the free energy saving light bulbs on behalf of E.ON.

Voluntary organisations can support their beneficiaries, to help them save money and reduce their environmental impact, by providing them with a free pack of 2 energy saving light bulbs. This initiative applies to qualifying beneficiaries of UK voluntary organisations who live on the UK mainland.

This is a new programme so any organisation that may have benefited from this offer before, can reapply so their beneficiaries cab receive another pack of free energy saving light bulbs.

Act Now and Earn Income

In addition to supporting your beneficiaries your organisation will also benefit from a rebate of 5p for every pack distributed. That’s £50 for every 1000 beneficiaries that you nominate.  The minimum number of beneficiaries that Grass Roots can process is 100. This is a short term offer while stocks are available, so whether you have 100 beneficiaries or 100,000  act now to ensure both they and you don’t miss out.

How to Get Involved

To get involved in this project please download the Grass Roots partner application form  (Word, 50kb), and return the completed form to:

Grass Roots will then send you a signed data protection statement. If you are providing data to Grass Roots then this will be required in an Excel or similar format with the following fields:

Title; Initial;

Surname;
Address 1;
Address 2;
Address 3;
Address 4;
Address 5;
Postcode

The rebate that you are entitled to will be paid by Grass Roots within 3 months of them distributing the lightbulbs to your nominated beneficiaries.
