What to Expect

This unique training day offers the chance to learn what it means to be innovative, what holds you back and how to source ideas. 

Two in depth workshops led by experts, followed by Question Time with an expert panel.

  • Identify your innovative potential

  • Methods to unlock ideas from within and outside your organisation

The Sessions

Diagnostics

  • Conduct an 'innovation health-check' on your organisation and explore how innovation can help you achieve your objectives
  • Discuss and explore the drivers of innovation and pinpoint the obstacles to your organisation reaching its potential
  • Give yourself a tool to find opportunities for innovation for new services, new partnerships, and new ways of doing business

Mitchell Sava previously senior advisor to NESTA  and now CEO of polyWonk  a firm providing software and services for collaboration and innovation in public policy and services.

Quinn McKew specialises in innovation, strategic planning and organisational alignment for the Management Centre =mc. Prior to joining =mc, Quinn worked as a senior sustainability strategist for one of the world’s largest digital media consortia and as a campaign director for non-profits in the USA.  Quinn holds an MBA in non-profit strategic management.

User Centred Design

  • Learn from a case study where close interaction with users and carers resulted in innovative and effective new services
  • Engage in an interactive challenge introducing user-centered design
  • Solve a realistic challenge using creative thinking tools
  • Learn how user-centred design methods could work for you

Ideas will be pitched at the end of the session demonstrating the effectiveness of the methods.

Deborah Szebeko Founding Director of thinkpublic  a social innovation and design agency working across the public and third sectors, effecting positive social change.

Question Time

A panel of experts will answer your questions on innovation and methods of sourcing new ideas.

The Extras

Prior to the event delegates will be invited to join an online group where they can pose their questions for the experts and discuss ideas that they would like to explore on the day.

On 15th February the experts from the day and from the following day will be available for an online discussion and registered delegates will have access to this ongoing discussion group.

Cancellation Policy 
50% of delegate fees will be refunded for cancellations received up to 10 working days before the event. After this, no fees are refundable for cancellation or non-attendance.
