Good Guide to Employment Factsheets

We have compiled a number of factsheets which highlight good employment practice.

These can be a useful guide for those who have HR/personnel roles within small and medium sized voluntary and community organisations and also for those organisations which may not have dedicated Human Resources staff.

The factsheets are adapted from the 2006 edition of The Good Guide to Employment: Managing and Developing People in Voluntary and Community Organisations. The Good Guide to Employment has since been updated in 2008 with the latest legislation and will again be updated in late 2009.

The full publication is part of a series of 'Good Guides' published by NCVO. You can purchase the most recent edition online.

You can also view and download all of the example templates for policies and documents found in the new edition of The Good Guide to Employment.

There are also HR 'How To Guides' available on this website, covering topics such as avoiding redundancy, 360 degree appraisals and TUPE.
