Case study: how can a brand support fundraising?

A brand is a set of ideas, images and associations; it is an expression of who you are and what your organisation does. A successful brand will connect your supporters with your organisation’s vision and can be a great tool for retaining the loyalty of current donors and for attracting the support of new ones. But how easy is it really? Clara will show you how Macmillan Cancer Support is working through the challenge of using its brand for both awareness and fundraising. She will discuss the challenges involved in getting support for a cause that is about living-with, rather than dying-from cancer and how the holy grail of integration is harder than you might think.

Clara Avery, Head of Supporter Insight Development, Macmillan Cancer Support

A panel of key funders will show you the diversity of choice available. Find out how to apply for funding from trusts and foundations and the issues to be aware of. You will get ideas to help you decide what is most relevant to your organisation and tips to make your applications more successful.
