Citizens Advice Sunderland is a charity limited by guarantee and offers advice and support to the 275,000 people living in the Sunderland, Houghton-le-Spring and Washington areas. Although governed and managed locally we operate under the national framework of Citizens Advice.

Our trustees are responsible for overseeing the management and finances of the bureau to ensure the charity is well governed and meets its charitable objects.  The trustees also act as Directors for the purposes of Company Law.

Age UK Newcastle has over 40 years experience supporting older people in Newcastle to make more out of later life. An independent Charity and brand partner of Age UK nationally, we provide a wide range of services and support, across the city to enable older people to get out and about, stay active and healthy and socialise.

Centre West is a resident led charitable company in the inner west of Newcastle. We work to close the gap in quality of life between the residents of our neighbourhoods and the rest of the City. By listening to and working closely with local people we seek to identify needs and champion solutions for our community. In practice Centre West currently has four broad areas of work, including:

Quality Independent Care is a charitable company, which provides a range of care and support delivered within the homes of service users. The organisation has been operating in the Newcastle upon Tyne area since 1985.

Quality Independent Care recognises that we are only able to provide a service of exceptional quality by securing and promoting the involvement of service users in the planning, delivery and evaluation of the services provided to them.

Meadow Well Connected is a registered charity that provides a range of social services and benefits to North Tyneside residents.  We have been active since 1978 and are acknowledged as a leading community development organisation in the region. In the past 15 years, we have developed and expanded the Meadows Centre using it as a vehicle to enhance the lives of disadvantaged people.

Reviving the Heart of the West End Ltd is a charity based in the Scotswood and Benwell area of Newcastle upon Tyne. 

West End Befrienders are urgently looking for new volunteer Trustees to help with Staff Supervision and Fund Raising. West End Befrienders runs a befriending service in the West End of Newcastle visiting isolated vulnerable older people in their own homes and has been providing this service since 1984.
