We require someone to act as a Chair of our organisation to support our Strategic Leadership Team in its role of directing our society.

Herts Young Homeless (hyh) has been delivering support to young people who are homeless or threatened with homelessness throughout Hertfordshire since 1998. During that time our services have expanded placing a greater emphasis on prevention, and our work is integrated throughout the county with a number of partner agencies both independent and statutory.

We are seeking a new Chair to lead the Trustees and guide the strategic direction, governance and development of our widely respected charity.

Oxfordshire Advocacy, an advocacy organisation, charity and company limited by guarantee, is looking for new trustees for its board and especially for a Chair of the Trustees to replace the current chair who will retire in July 2013.  They will join a  dynamic and friendly group of, currently, seven trustees.

We would particularly welcome applications from people with skills/experience as Chair, also in HR, fundraising, marketing/publicity and as Company Secretary. However there are many other areas of skill and experience which would be of value to us.

Action Duchenne is inviting applicants for the Chair of its board of trustees. With the recent appointment of a National Director, the main role is to assume the responsibility of guiding the current board of 11 members in the governance, guidance and strategies for an extremely active research charity. This is a two year, voluntary post.

The Organisation:

First formed in 2001, Action Duchenne has funded 17 research programmes and has been instrumental in securing grants via collaborative work with academia and industry.
