Yet many lack access to basic veterinary care.  In the very poorest countries, SPANA's clinics treat hundreds of thousands of animals and support their owners by providing animal welfare education and training. Their education programme in schools aims to change attitudes towards animals in the next generation. In addition, SPANA provides professional training to vets and other veterinary professionals.

The Maryon Wilson Animal Park is seeking a Treasurer to become a Director/Trustee on its management board. The Maryon Wilson Animal Park is a much loved community facility based in Charlton, and is home to a range of animals, including dear, sheep, ponies, pigs, goats, rabbits, chinchillas, terrapins, guinea pigs and a variety of birds and fowl.
The Royal Borough of Greenwich is supporting the establishment of this charity to help manage the park and secure its long term future as a local attraction and educational resource.
