"A very well organised and executed event. Most importantly, it was actively enhanced by real people with very down to earth issues and admirable enthusiasm."  Sandra Hasselberg, Planning Aid, 2009 delegate

Autumn leafDelivering the vision: putting voluntary action at the heart of the Big Society

The new political landscape is bringing rapid change in the UK. We are experiencing stringent public spending cuts, but there is still much uncertainty about where those cuts will fall and the impact they will have on the people and the communities we work with.

This conference will be an important time for us to:

• ensure we help to shape and deliver the Government’s Big Society agenda
• assess the real scale of the public spending cuts and what this means for us and the people and communities we work with
• reflect on how the coalition government are faring 6 months in.

What can you expect?

  • A wide-ranging programme covering the most important issues of the day
  • High-profile speakers including key policy makers
  • Lively, interactive workshops with both a regional and national focus
  • Practical tips to take away and implement in your own organisation
  • Fantastic opportunities to engage with colleagues and peers from around the country

Who should attend?

Trustees, leaders, members of staff or volunteers from any organisation involved in the sector including:

  • Frontline voluntary & community organisations
  • Infrastructure bodies
  • Social enterprises
  • Public sector bodies
  • Corporate sector organisations
