Health and safety practices and systems
The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 regulates the creation, implementation, and maintenance of systems to enforce health and safety practices.
The Management of Health and Safety at Work Regulations 1999, or 'Framework Regulations', provide explicit guidelines for employers and employees regarding health and safety systems. They are accompanied by an Approved Code of Practice and guidance issued in March 2000.
