Discipline and grievance checklist
- Write or adopt the Acas or other model policy statements that are in accordance with the Acas Code of Practice on discipline and grievance, setting out the procedures and making them available to all employees.
- Write the rules of the organisation and make them available to all employees.
- Follow disciplinary and grievance procedures as appropriate thoroughly at each stage and inform employees of their right of appeal.
- Seek human resources or legal advice when in doubt.
