Annualised hours
These contracts calculate an employee's core working hours on an annual basis.
The worker may negotiate any kind of working schedule with his or her employer, provided that he or she meets the basic annual minimum of hours stipulated by the contract. This system allows great flexibility for both workers and employers.
Please note: if regular additional hours are worked, these may become an implied contractual term through custom and practice. Similarly, if the hours are worked in a regular pattern (e.g. every Tuesday) then this could also become a contractual term through custom and practice.
