Members of Visionary must be registered charities or, as in Scotland, be accepted by the Inland Revenue as a charity for tax purposes. Membership is open to charities providing support and services to visually impaired people exclusively within a UK local authority county or region OR part of a county or region, or to a town or city OR part of a town or city - on payment of an annual subscription. (Voluntary organisations with a UK remit, agencies constituted to be an umbrella organisation or any statutory organisation are not eligible to join.)
