The Federation of City Farms and Community Gardens exists to support, promote and represent groups which are engaged in community-led development of open space through locally managed farming and gardening.

Membership criteria:
Farm/Garden Member (non-voting): Any voluntary organisation with similar aims to the FCFCG and running - or intending to run - a community managed farm or garden and having - or intending to have - a locally elected management committee. Any community farm or garden which has for at least twelve months been a Farm/Garden Member of FCFCG and established and operational on site for at least a full year, becomes eligible for election to become a voting member of FCFCG by nomination at an AGM.
Affiliate Member: Any organisation with similar aims to, or agreeing with those of FCFCG but not having a locally elected management committee.
Associate Member: Any organisation with similar aims to, or agreeing with those of FCFCG, and operating (or intending to operate) a City Farm, Community Garden or similar. Associate Members may nominate one member of their organisation to join FCFCG's board of directors.
