Action for Prisoners' Families (formerly Federation of Prisoners' Families Support Groups) is the national federation of services supporting families of prisoners, acting as a voice for and encouraging the development of organisations that provide assistance for the families of people in prison. Provides details of local support groups and publishes a National Directory of other resource material. Coordinates a national helpline for families of prisoners with a consortium of other organisations - freephone 0808 808 2003.

Full membership of Action for Prisoners' Families is only open to organisations that provide support services to prisoners' families.

All applications must be signed by a senior member of staff and an officer of the trustees. You should include the following with your application: committee list, equal opportunities policy, confidentiality policy, governing document (if not a charity), a brief statement of reasons for wishing to join the federation.
