Action for Advocacy (A4A) is a resource and support agency for independent advocacy schemes.  A4A has the following broad aims:

• To 'advocate for advocacy' at a strategic level
• to support the development of independent advocacy schemes
• to facilitate effective networking between advocates and advocacy schemes
• to promote good practice and information sharing across the advocacy sector

Formerly known as Advocacy Across London, in April 2004 they changed their name to Action for Advocacy (A4A) to reflect their ongoing development as an organisation that can influence the development of advocacy services at a national level.

Services:

A4A offers a range of services including organisational development, a monthly magazine Planet Advocacy, a monthly email bulletin, training and events, influencing policy and staff to answer queries relating to advocacy.
