Model role descriptions

Many charities write down the duties of trustees and the required skills and attributes in the form of a trustee role description or 'job' description.

The trustee role description can be given to prospective and new trustees as part of their induction into the organisation. Role descriptions can be adapted to the roles of honorary officers.

It is good practice for all trustees to receive a role description. Model role descriptions exist to help you get started.
