Improving your governance
Many trustee boards take time out to review the charity’s work, structures and governance arrangements.
Such a review might involve:
- Checking the governing document to ensure it is accurate, up to date and useful
- Reviewing policies and procedures to account for changes in the law and in the way the charity works
- Reviews of the charity’s long term strategy and plans and the charity’s structure
- Adoption of a quality system
- Carrying out a review of the charity’s governance arrangements.
