Advisory Group

An important tenet of the Public Service Delivery Network is that its members are both beneficiaries and contributors to its activities. To ensure that the Network is managed from bottom-up', its activities are led and informed by its members. Therefore, an Advisory Group - selected from its membership - has been established to advise and steer the direction and priorities of the Network.

The Advisory Group has three functions:

Providing an overview on emerging trends in relation to public service delivery by:

  • providing specific advice in their area of personal expertise
  • identifying case studies that will contribute to the development of knowledge of members of the Network.

Advising on the programme of activities and content by:

  • providing specific advice in their area of personal expertise
  • giving critical guidance as to the functional operation of the Network suggesting how it could develop and tailor its work to meet the needs of the members
  • acting as a forum in which new ideas can be openly, frankly and co-operatively explored

Providing an overview on activities and views of PSD Network within public sector and VCS agencies through:

  • giving feedback as to how the Network is, and may be, used and perceived amongst the wider voluntary and community sector
  • contributing to our knowledge of new developments within the voluntary and public sectors relevant to sustainable funding practice
  • testing our tools for cascading down to frontline organisations

Advisory Group meetings are held twice a year at NCVO.
