Learning and skills
The Learning and Skills work previously undertaken by NCVO, has being carried forward by Skills - Third Sector.
Skills - Third Sector is a sector-led, independent charity which helps ensure the Voluntary and Community Sector has the skills and learning it needs to do the best possible job.
Skills-Third Sector's work includes:
- Developing new National Occupational Standards and maintaining Standards for the following roles:
- Fundraisers
- Campaigners
- Trustees and Management Committee Members
- Managers of Volunteers
- Monitoring and evaluation
- Development Work
- Information about Voluntary and Community Sector-specific qualifications and training, including work around the development of a Sector Qualifications Strategy
- Further information about conducting a Training Needs Analysis
- Research and policy relating to the Voluntary Sector workforce and the skills of the workforce
- News, press and information around learning and skills in the sector.
The website also features an online forum to ask questions, share good practice, network and discuss training and skills development in the third sector.
