Value of Infrastructure Programme
The Value of Infrastructure Programme was established in 2009 as a three-year initiative that helps all kinds of infrastructure organisations to better assess, improve and communicate their impact.
The programme includes:
- Training on impact for infrastructure staff and trustees
- Introducing participants to a common impact framework and the VIP impact tools for infrastructure organisations
- Online tools to help infrastructure organisations assess, track and compare the changes brought about by their work
- Work with funders to promote understanding of the value of infrastructure.

The training is suitable for all kinds of infrastructure organisations. The tools that you learn about can be adapted to your needs and are designed to work alongside existing processes. We’re also working closely with funders to ensure they understand the value of infrastructure organisations.
Register for training
Register your interest for the VIP training now, so that you can more easily:
- Assess your impact and benchmark with other organisations
- Improve your impact by monitoring it more clearly
- Communicate your impact with content for funding applications, reports and wider communications work.
Infrastructure organisations of all shapes and sizes can use the tools to capture the important work they do: connecting, developing and influencing within the sector.
The VIP tools consist of impact dials which are a simple way of capturing the work you do with frontline organisations, external agencies and the wider sector. VIP online is a database to record your impact from the dials and surveys, allowing you to easily output the data and benchmark yourself against other organisations.
The VIP tools are easy to use and integrate into your day-to-day work. 98% of the course participants so far have reported an improvement in skills after completing our training.
