It's easy to get the help you need from the NCVO Consultancy service. This is a step-by-step guide to the process.

The initial phone call: understanding your needs

You will speak with a dedicated member of our NCVO Consultancy team. We will take time to fully understand your situation, the work you want done, the reasons for it and the outcomes you want to achieve. We won't charge you for our time on this initial call, of course.*

Please bear in mind that we usually require a few weeks' notice to take on a new piece of work. While we aim to be as accommodating as possible, if you need us for specific dates, please allow at least a three month lead in period.

Is our service right for you?

As we discuss your needs with you, we will consider whether our Consultancy team could make a real difference to your organisation. If we don't think we can help, we'll say so, and suggest some other sources of support you could try. Take a look at some of the ways we might be able to help.

Identifying a scope

Your contact will then send you a proposal of how we can help you and what it would cost. This might contain a range of options for you to consider. In our proposal, we will be clear and upfront about the skills and expertise we can bring to your organisation, and how we propose to help you. We will also be clear about the price and what is included, as well as what's not.

During the project

From the start of the project, you will have one key contact who will be in touch with you regularly. They will also be at the end of the phone in case you have any questions.

We will work collaboratively with you to keep the project focused and on track.

Meet the team.

Evaluation

We will undertake a mini-evaluation immediately after we've finished the project. We'll also be in touch again some time later to see how you are getting on.

Our prices

Our prices for voluntary and community organisations are based on day rates, which range between £500 and £900 depending on the skills and experience needed to deliver your project successfully.

We charge a price that allows us to offer a quality, sustainable consultancy service to a variety of organisations of different size, income and capacity. 100% of any surplus from this service is invested directly back into NCVO's work to provide voice and support for the sector.
