Get Legal- Finding the right legal structure

For some time we have recognised that many organisations struggle to get the information they need when they are first established. Research has found that choosing the most appropriate legal and governance structures is complex, and many of the governance problems that organisations suffer later on are a direct result of not being able to access the support they needed at the outset.
Get Legal is a new reference and decision making tool designed to help organisations and individuals make more informed choices regarding their legal structure. It can be accessed at www.getlegal.org.uk
However, what are your experiences of choosing an appropriate legal structure and what advice would you give to another organisation or individual?
With my non-NCVO head on just for a moment - I've been using Get Legal to inform our decision at the Pinkstinks campaign around what legal structure we should take. It's been hugely useful. We will keep you posted on our final decision.
