Our response to the Government's Spending ReviewFriday 3 September
We are pleased to announce that we have now submitted our response to the Government's Spending Review. Our submission (PDF 64KB) covers statutory funding to the voluntary and community sector, the potential impact of cuts, sustainable funding, tax and fiscal policy and support for voluntary action. The Spending Review, which will be published on October 20, will inform government spending policy for the next five years. |

NCVO President leads on de-regulationWednesday 18 August
The Government has launched its taskforce on deregulation to "cut red tape" for civil society organisations, making it easier for them to be set up and managed. Lord Hodgson of Astley Abbots, president of NCVO, will be chairing the taskforce, run jointly by the Office for Civil Society and the Department for Business, Innovation and Skills. Sir Graham Melmoth, chair of NCVO, will also be a member of the taskforce. |
