Our Chief Executive, Sir Stuart Etherington, has been appointed to the major civil society body of the EU, the European Economic & Social Committee (known as EcoSoc). "I am delighted to be joining EcoSoc, and look forward to working with my fellow committee members to ensure the needs of European civil society are reflected in EU policy and legislation." |

Sector leaders co-ordinate joint response to Government Spending ReviewTuesday 7 September
Following a summit meeting of sector leaders in August to discuss the spending review, NCVO co-ordinated a letter to the Chief Secretary to the Treasury, Danny Alexander. The letter calls for the government to ensure that the spending review enables voluntary action and helps to build a better society. The letter was also copied to other Treasury officials and Nick Hurd, Minister for Civil Society. |
