The impact of new technologies

NCVO Third Sector Foresight seminar

Come and discuss the impact of new technologies on the future of your VCO and hear a variety of thought-provoking presentations from a panel of ICT experts.

Exploring the topic of the moment, this afternoon seminar will focus on the impact of new technologies for the VCS. The emphasis of the seminar is on discussion and organisations will be invited to discuss the implications of new technologies for their organisation; exploring both the future challenges and opportunities.

The seminar will feature a series of short presentations from a panel of experts (who participated in the recent ICT Foresight research) on the implications of new technologies in key areas such as fundraising, membership, campaigning and public service delivery.

Megan Griffith, author of the latest NCVO Third Sector Foresight and Performance Hub pocket guide to the future of new technologies will also present on the key ICT trends affecting the VCS. (Read more about the Future Focus pocket guide series.)

NCVO Third Sector Foresight series

This seminar is the latest in a series of events run by NCVO Third Sector Foresight each of which explores a specific topic in depth.

The aim of NCVO Third Sector Foresight seminars is to provide delegates with time and space away from the daily pressures of running their organisation to think in depth about how complex external trends may impact on their organisation in the future.

They also aim to bring together a wide range of people who are thinking about the future of their organisation in order to generate lively debate, share ideas and give delegates the chance to meet and discuss strategic issues with their peers.
